Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 January 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Luxci website located at luxci.eu, the Luxci installer and specifier portal, associated subdomains, and any related digital services, mobile applications, plan builders, quotation tools and APIs (together, the "Services") operated by Luxci NV, a company incorporated under the laws of Belgium with registered office in Belgium (hereinafter "Luxci", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1. Website operator
The Services are operated by Luxci NV. All commercial correspondence should be addressed to info@luxci.eu. Legal notices should be addressed to legal@luxci.eu.
2. Acceptance of terms
Your continued access to or use of the Services constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and of any amendments published on this page. Luxci may update the Terms at its sole discretion. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Services where reasonably possible.
3. Accounts and access
Certain parts of the Services — including the installer portal, the plan builder, the quotation engine and project workspaces — are restricted to verified professional users (installers, architects, lighting designers, distributors and Luxci partners). Access is granted at Luxci's discretion and may be suspended or revoked at any time, with or without notice, in case of misuse, breach of these Terms, or termination of the underlying commercial relationship.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify Luxci immediately of any unauthorised use, security breach or suspected compromise of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to: (i) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Services; (ii) scrape, crawl, harvest, index or otherwise extract data from the Services by automated means; (iii) resell, sublicense, rent, lease or commercially exploit the Services or any content made available through them; (iv) upload, transmit or store any content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harmful, misleading or violates the rights of any third party; (v) interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, their infrastructure or the accounts of other users; or (vi) use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including export-control, sanctions or data-protection law.
5. Content, product data and quotations
All product data, technical drawings, photometric files, renderings, specifications, dimensions, finishes and prices displayed in the Services are provided for information purposes only and are subject to change without notice. Luxci continuously improves its products, and small deviations between published data and delivered goods may occur.
Automated quotations, budget estimates, calibration outputs and plan-builder exports generated by the Services are indicative. Only a written quotation issued and signed by Luxci (or by a duly authorised Luxci distributor) is binding. In case of discrepancy between the Services and such a written quotation, the written quotation prevails.
6. Intellectual property
The Services, and all content, software, designs, drawings, photometric data, symbols, images, videos, trademarks, wordmarks and monograms displayed therein, are owned by Luxci NV or its licensors and are protected by Belgian, European Union, United States and international intellectual property law. See the Intellectual Property notice for details. No right or licence is granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.
7. User-submitted content
When you upload plans, drawings, project data, images, comments or any other content into the Services, you retain ownership of your content. You grant Luxci a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, adapt and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Services and providing them to you. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
8. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, integrations with third-party software (including payment providers, mapping services, CAD tools, analytics providers, logistics carriers and AI infrastructure providers), and downloadable third-party files such as BIM objects, photometric files or datasheets. Luxci does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy or terms of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms.
9. Availability, changes and suspension
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Luxci does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or free from defects. Luxci may at any time, and without prior notice or liability, modify, restrict, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Services, in particular for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons or legal compliance.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luxci disclaims all warranties in relation to the Services, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy of content. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty that cannot be excluded under mandatory Belgian or EU law, including consumer-protection rules.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luxci, its affiliates, directors, employees and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, including loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or reinstallation cost. Luxci's aggregate liability arising from or in connection with the Services shall not exceed one thousand euro (€1,000), except in cases of fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Luxci, its affiliates and their respective officers, employees and agents from and against any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (i) your use of the Services in breach of these Terms, (ii) your content, or (iii) your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
13. Termination
Luxci may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will survive.
14. Force majeure
Luxci is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, epidemics, pandemics, strikes, failure of telecommunications or internet infrastructure, cyber-attacks or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labour or materials.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be addressed to legal@luxci.eu.
